How Discount and Final Price Are Calculated
A percentage discount reduces the current merchandise price by that percentage. The advanced calculation applies multiple discounts in the order shown, subtracts the fixed coupon, calculates tax on the remaining merchandise subtotal, and adds shipping or other fixed fees last.
Final Price
Original price × (1 − discount ÷ 100)
Discount Rate
Savings ÷ original price × 100
Understanding Stacked Discounts
Sequential discounts are not normally added. If a ₹1,000 item receives 20% off, the price becomes ₹800. A further 10% discount removes ₹80, leaving ₹720. The combined saving is ₹280, so the effective discount is 28%.
- Reorder discount tiers to match the seller's calculation
- Enter a fixed coupon separately from percentage offers
- Use quantity when the offer applies to the combined subtotal
- Compare the merchandise price and checkout total
- Verify maximum-discount and minimum-order conditions
- Check whether tax and shipping are included in advertised prices
Sale Price vs Final Checkout Total
The discounted subtotal is the merchandise amount after offers and coupons. The final payable amount can be higher once tax, delivery, service charges, or other fees are included. Keeping these figures separate makes it easier to compare the actual checkout cost rather than only the headline discount.
Pricing Estimate Note
Seller rules can include discount caps, excluded products, minimum purchase values, coupon limits, tax-inclusive prices, taxable shipping, regional rounding, or a different offer order. Treat the result as a planning estimate and verify the seller's final checkout total.
