How Business Days Are Calculated
The calculator evaluates calendar dates in order. A date counts as a business day only when its weekday is not selected as a weekend and its date is not in your custom holiday list. UTC-based calendar arithmetic avoids daylight-saving-time changes altering the day count.
Between Dates
Business days = included dates − weekends − holidays

Useful for Workday and Deadline Planning

- Contract review or notice windows
- Shipping and service-level estimates
- Academic and administrative processing dates
Public Holidays and Observed Dates
Holiday calendars are not universal. National, state, bank, exchange, school, and company holidays can differ, and an observed holiday may fall on a different date from the celebration. Add the exact dates that apply to your calculation and verify important legal, banking, or contractual deadlines with the responsible organization.
Important Date-Planning Note
This calculator provides calendar estimates, not legal, employment, tax, banking, trading, shipping, or contractual advice. Rules can include cutoff times, local time zones, emergency closures, partial working days, and jurisdiction-specific definitions that are not represented here.
