How This Browser Video Joiner Works
A video file contains separate video and audio streams plus container metadata. Clips recorded by different phones, cameras, screen recorders, or apps may use incompatible dimensions, frame rates, codecs, or audio layouts. Simply placing their bytes together does not create a valid playable video.
This tool decodes each selected clip locally, applies the chosen trim, normalizes every segment to one output canvas, frame rate, video codec, pixel format, audio codec, sample rate, and channel layout, then combines the compatible segments in order.

Preserves the complete frame and adds space around clips whose aspect ratio does not match the output canvas.
Fill and crop edges
Fills the entire canvas without bars but crops parts of a clip when its aspect ratio differs.
Match First Clip follows the first video's aspect ratio while respecting the chosen resolution cap. Landscape 16:9 is suitable for common widescreen video, portrait 9:16 for short-form mobile content, and square 1:1 for square social posts.
Tips for a Reliable Video Merge
- Arrange clips first because their displayed order becomes the final timeline
- Preview each file and set trim times before starting the processor
- Choose MP4 and 480p or 720p when speed and compatibility matter
- Use black-bar fitting when no part of a vertical or horizontal frame should be lost
- Close memory-heavy tabs and keep this page open until joining finishes
- Preview the completed file to verify order, framing, trims, and sound
Browser Limits and Processing Time
Browser video processing uses device memory for inputs, normalized segments, and the final output. Desktop mode therefore limits a project to 8 clips, 200 MB per file, 500 MB total, and 45 minutes. Mobile mode uses lower limits: 4 clips, 60 MB per file, 150 MB total, and 10 minutes.

For mobile reliability, choose 480p, Smaller quality, and MP4 output. Long clips, 1080p output, high quality, and WebM can still exceed the memory available on some devices even when files meet the listed limits.
Compatibility and Quality Note
Codec support depends on the browser FFmpeg build, and damaged or unusual files may fail even when their extension is accepted. Joining requires re-encoding, so the output may not retain every item of source metadata and can show some quality loss. Keep original files until you have checked the downloaded result.
