How the Photo & Signature Resizer Works
The tool draws your selected image into a new canvas with the exact output width and height. You can zoom, reposition, rotate, flip, and change the image treatment before export. Photo mode fills the frame by default, while Signature mode keeps the complete mark visible with space around it.

DPI metadata and physical dimensions can be interpreted differently by websites and printers. Online portals usually validate pixel dimensions and file size, while printed applications may specify millimetres or inches. Confirm which measurement the receiving authority actually requires.
Preparing a Document Photo
Resizing cannot correct every compliance issue. Start with a clear, recent, evenly lit image taken against the background required by the application. Use the on-screen oval and eye guide only as general framing assistance—not as an official biometric template.
- Use a sharp image with natural facial detail and even lighting
- Keep the full head visible with appropriate space around it
- Avoid strong shadows, filters, blur, glare, or compression artifacts
- Check the required background color before taking the photo
- Confirm expression, eyewear, clothing, and recency requirements
- Review the exported pixels, format, and file size before upload
Preparing a Signature Image
Sign clearly on clean paper using the ink color accepted by the application, then photograph or scan it in good light. Crop away unnecessary paper while retaining a small safe margin so strokes do not touch the edge. Grayscale or high contrast can improve visibility, but use it only when the portal permits processed signatures.
File-size targets are approximate
JPG and WebP size targeting searches for a suitable encoding quality below the entered limit. Highly detailed images may still be larger than a very small limit even at low quality, while PNG file size cannot be controlled with a quality slider.

Presets represent commonly encountered dimensions, not universal or guaranteed acceptance standards. Government, examination, recruitment, banking, visa, and other application portals can change their requirements. Check the current official instructions for dimensions, head coverage, signature placement, background, format, DPI, and file-size range before submitting.
